I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
